Changing your “Self Talk” with cognitive modification (CM), developing stress management skills training (ST), and systematic desensitization skills to less your stress level (SD). In CM participants were asked, for example, to create a list of their negative self-talk attributions, to identify irrational beliefs that are implied in their lists, to develop a coping statement for each irrational belief, and then to practice the coping statements until they become second nature. ST involves learning and practice exercises in public speaking skills (e.g., organization of ideas, delivery, visual aids) that were designed to better prepare a student for success. You will benefit from SD strategies such as relaxation, deep breathing, and visualization techniques to reduce nervousness. $150/hour. $450 deposit.
